        hello ,

i need to remove two steam radiators for new kitchen and pantry vinyl flooring to be laid … i have a one pipe steam system with cast iron radiators … removing seems pretty straight forward but i was wondering if anyone had any tips on things to watch out for …

they are both the short thin type , one is 3 foot long , 2 foot high , and the other is half as long … they are both about 4 inches wide …

when they are reattached is there anything special that needs to be done ? do i need some sort of sealer or need to use specific torque ?

        thanx for any help …

Use thread sealant along with teflon tape on all threaded connections and tighten them enough so that they don’t leak.
