I did a stupid thing and drilled a sheet rock screw through my copper tube heating pipe. The puncture is about an 1/8th inch. The pipe used was the fresh water grade and not the thin heating kind. It is in an awkard spot, can I just remove the burs and solder the hole? Or, do I have to cut, joint and sweat?

If your good and have perfected the art of soldering a hole that size, go for it.

But if you want peace of mind, then cut and use a slip coupling. Cut the pipe right where the hole is. Then solder.
