The water in my shower leaks through the spout when i turn on only the shower and i get cool water. I thought that the shower body was not good but i just replaced it last year so i tried to take out the shower contro spindle but i can’t remove it is there a washer in there or do i just replace the whole thing and how do i get it out. I don’t know what type it is i purchased it at home depot and it was not an expensive one. It has three handles hot cold and the control spindle in the middle. any help with this proble would be greatly appreciated.

You might need a deep socket depends on what you got but the nut should turn counter clock wise, it probably has a washer an d a 0 ring. If you cant get it loose call a plumber.
