InactiveI’m looking to purchase a tool combo cordless kit from either Milwaukee or Ridgid . Both offer the 18 volt battery power packs with the drill, circular saw, sawzall, and flashlight. Milwaukee is also offering the am/fm radio in its package, but that won’t be a factor in my decision. Not interested in Dewalt , Ryobi, Bosch or other brands. Any thoughts as to which one to go with? Appreciate any constructive opinions.
Thanks -

ParticipantBoth are good tools but you will have to decide which fite you best because you are going to use them. Milwailke power tools are used on the job all the time, if it was me I would lean to that tool.

Participantthe milwaukee tools are very good , but their batteries are absolute junk, i’d go with the ridgid if i were doing it all over, plus i think you get a lifetime warranty

ParticipantJust my 2 cents worth, but I prefer the Milwaukee corded hand tools…Sawzall, drills, etc., but PortaCable runs a close second. For cordless hand tools, I prefer Bosch and PortaCable, but I’ve used Makita and have no complaints about them either.
As a plumber, I’ve got a lot of affection for Rigid, and almost all of my wrenches, pipe cutters, vises and pipe threading equipment is made by them. Except for their motorized drain snakes, I don’t use their electrical tools.

ParticipantI agree. I don’t like Ridgid drain cleaning equipment.
I always use Spartan.

ParticipantThanks to everyone who replied to my question. I’ve used Milwaukee power tools and Rdgid hand tools for as long as I’ve been in the trade (almost 30 years) so i’m partial to both brands. I’ve talked to a number of other plumbers with differing opinions. I’m leaning more toward the Milwaukee cordless tools, however. Just recieved a 10% discount coupon from Homey this morning , good till Feb. 15, so I better make a decision quickly!! Again, thanks for everyones responses. mmilner
