Help! I’m have trouble with the water pressure in one bathtub only. The pressure in the other bath is fine as well as the sinks. I recently had to replace the handle for the bathtub. It was a Moen handle (one) which turns counter clockwise to move from cold to hot water. My husband claims that the pressure was fine before the handle was replaced. I turned the water on with the handle off and the pressure is still low. I also get a strange noise (sometimes) like a high pitched whistle when I turn the shower on only. Please tell me it’s something easy!

        Thanks!

The moen faucet that you describe is pressure balanced, being that it compensates for lower pressure in either feed line keeping the temperature relatively constant. You should have the cartridge for the faucet removed, the lines blown out and a new cartridge installed this should fix your problem.
