I remodeled my bathroom 4 months ago. I put in all new fixtures and copper from the main line to the fixtures with shut off valves. Now when the tub fixture is turned on orange tinted water pours out for about 3-5 seconds and then goes clear. This only occurs in the tub which is the last fixture on the supply line. The problem does not occur in the sink or toliet which are fed first. I am assumming that the problem lies somewhere in the pipes between the other fixtures and the tub fixture. Any suggestion as to what is causing the discoloration and how to fix it. Thanks.

Orange says iron. You either have some iron in the water that is oxidizing locally (in the pipe to the tub which isn’t all tha tuncommon) or you have a piece of galvanized like a nipple etc. or a piece of cast iron rusting and adding iron to that water that is orange.
