? about sewage ejection pump

i have a bi-level house and the downstairs plumbing is connected to a sewage pump thats under the stairs, ive never had a problem with it before sometimes even forget its there, til now. our power was off for 4 days because of hurricane isabel and when the power came back on so did the alarm for the pump, luckily it has a switch to put it on silent, everything seems to be working fine i can here the pump filling and pumping out
i tried flushing the toilet several times, running the tub for awhile the alarm is still on, anything i can try on my own before calling a plumber ? i know very little about plumbing neither does my husband any help will be appreciated.

Sounds like something with switch, call pump co. and ask them.
