we have a wastewater removal pump hooked up to our basement washing machine to pump water to main sewer line our main is about 3 feet off ground, but pumping height is about 7 feet for a length of 15 feet before it drops to sewere line height.when machine empties after first pump out no noise, then further pumpings are extremely noisey it seems the rate the water is being discharged is too fast for the pump s valves to completely close (just an amateurs guess)and the pvc pipes grind really loud any reason why the noise and any solutions?

Do you have a check valve on the discharge line , if not then when pump turns off some water comes back and cause pump to turn on with little water and it will keep doing that until almost all of water is out.
