I have a Reliance 501 water heater. It runs out of hot water after a short period of use.Is it the bottom or top heating element that is going bad on me?the model # 5 82 20RT6 OW93A and the S/N F04314713. It says on the cover plate that it has two 4500 watt heating elements, but on the manufacturing tag it says thereare two 2500 heating elements for both top and bottom. Which is correct? Any help will greatly be apprecitated. Thank you, Dave

Can I assume you are not an electrician?? given that I would strongly suggest you get a qualified person to check out the circuits and including the elements to identify if you have a faulty component.
As is with gas appliances I endeavour to err on the safe side and suggest where things might become a little complicated that the user obtain the services of someone qualified in this field – after all safety is paramount in our business.
