When installing a new comode what distance form the wall should the rough-in drain be, or does this vary with different manufacturers?

12″ from finished wall to center of stool pipe.So if the wall is bare studs,it would be 12″ plus whatever you are going to put on the wall.There are also 14″and 10″R/I Where I come from 12″ is the most common.SEMPER FI.
