Our dishwasher is making a horrid grinding noise when we turn it on. It comes and goes with the wash cycle. And when the cycle ends it is like it is grinding to a halt. It is still cleaning the dishes but sounds like it is going to strip the motor or something.
Symptoms sound like a bearing has run in the pump unit that forces the water throughout the machine. Best advice I can offer is to get your local appliance serviceperson there to check it out for sure. A little cost now will work out cheaper than a major refit later on.
