Any thoughts???
While filling the bathtub or taking a shower, the toilet (located about 1 foot away from tub) runs. Once the tub is shut off, the toilet stops.
Could running the tub drop the water level in the toilet tank, or could it just be a change in the pressure of the water line?
This is my first house, so any input would be appreciated.

Sounds like your flapper is not holding the water. Once the toilet tank is full the toilet should not run when you use other fix.
