        I tried to remove my bathub strainer with a pliers and the cross members broker off. How can I remove it to replace it. The tup is about 10 years old. Thanks in adance. Ron

          Alas, this sometimes happens. You’ll have to cut or chisel out the drain. You may have to remove the tub. If you have access from below (i.e., in the basement), your work may be easier.

              I use an internal spud wrench when I run into a proiblem like you have.Works great,takes a few minutes and the old shoe is removed,piece of cake.
