I have a Delta 1404 single handle shower faucet.
        It drips.
I’ve replaced the seats and springs.
And I noticed that the assembly drips hot water.
        Is this normal?
        What is my next step?

        Thanks,

        Tim

You might have to replace the cap assembly, its the part that mates with the two washers.Make sure you have the correct springs in the faucet I am sure the 1400 series uses the longer springs.

            Thanks, I’ll try that.
Is it ok that the tap leaks even with the water main turned off, and everything removed.
The only things attached is the brass collar to the pipes.
I can see three holes inside of a larger cylinder and the hole on the left is leaking hot water.
I’m afraid that I will need to replace the whole thing.
