        Hi All,

I have a Shower Pan with a Stainless Steel Drain. There is a PVC pipe in the center with what appears to be a rubber seal wedged between the S.S. and the PVC.

There is a small leak on the underside that runs down the pipe. Upon further examination, the seal appears to be lead. I am planning on drilling out the seal and removing the packing. My next question. Whats the best way to re-seal this thing? Alternativly, could clean up the top of the lead and run a bead of silicone to seal the lead & packing?

        Thanks
        Mike
