        Does anyone know why a sink would make very rapid “thumping” noises every once and a while? Most of the time the sink works fine, but if you leave it on for long enough sometimes it makes a rapid thumping sound until you turn it off and back on.

          Sounds like the way you say you might have a loose washer in faucet.
