I have a claw foot tub with a rubber plug and chain that allows me to fill the bath tub. My question is, is there a different kind of plug that I can use that will wear better? The rubber plug keeps breaking where the chain is attached. I have to push the plug in pretty far in order to keep the water in, as otherwise, the plug works it’s way out. I saw in a movie, of all places a tub that had a metal and rubber plug. Where could I find something like this. The local hardware stores seem to carry only the all rubber plugs. Thanks for your help!
