I need to replace my current tub/shower fawcet set. It has a single handle. The problem is that there is no brand name on the set. Are all tub/shower sets compatable, or do I have to tear out the wall, tile, etc. and put in all new valves etc.?

If you are talking about the handles and assesories you can replce them with out taking out wall, but if you are taking about the valve well you have to take out some wall to get to pipes.
