The cross hairs were broken on my bathtub drain. I purchased a watts #C935ckcp bathtub drain combination kit for twist n close bath waste. It appears to be what I need. My problem is that I can get out the old one. The directions do not refer to how to get out the old one. Do I have to go under the house and disconnect something or should I be able to get it out from the top. There is nothing to grab onto to unscrew it. Any ideas.

If you broke out the cross bars then I think they make a special tool to take it out. I know how to take them out with hammer and chisel but thats not for you . Go to this web site and see if they sell the tool, tell them what you want to do. http://www.netplumber.com
