I am installing electric baseboard heat in my basement and I want two units on one line. The instructions
are vague at best and do not tell you how to tie two units together with one thermostat. Is there a source for
instructions or a quick solution for this? -
First you have to determine if the thermostat is able to handle the load of two radiators. I would be surprised it it can, unless the units are fairly small ones. If they are normal sized ones, then your thermostat will have to operate a relay that will control the power to the two units. If the thermostat is adequate, then tie the two units together in parallel through the thermostat.
