I have a plastic tank cistern that is buried outside my house that freezes slightly every winter. The only access to the tank is a fill tube 3 inches in diamiter.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that I can buy an electric tank heater that I could stick down this fill pipe. Sort of like a cattle tank heater but only a rod instead of circular.

I have thought of that, but it’s 600 gal’s of water and the fish tank heater can’t be completely submerged.
