I recently had a problem with the hot water in my bathtub — No matter how hard you turned it, the water would never turn totally off. I replaced the rubber washer in the handle mechanism and that solved that problem, now the hot water turns on and off just fine. The new problem is that now the center handle that diverts the water from the faucet to the shower head doesnt turn in the full range that it used to – (It used to sit at 6 o’clock when using the faucet, and 12 o’clock when using the shower; now it stops at 1 o’clock and wont turn all the way up to 12…) When I take a shower, half the water comes out of the faucet and half comes out of the shower head. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

did you leave a chunk of the washewr behind in the faucet? might be stuck in the diverter
