When I turn on the hot water faucet in the sink, the water pressure is very low and the water is coming out white. And it’s like that until I turn the faucet almost all the way open, then there is a bang and then the water pressure shoots out normally. Why is the pressure coming out low? There was never a bang accompanying the water from the faucet before.

Sounds like you have a loose are swelled washer in the faucet.
