mineral buildup from shower cement bed????

hi and thanks for the replays

anyone ever see shower floors that all the white crystilized mineral deposits seems to leech up out of the grout lines and build up on the shower floor

can be scraped off for the most part with some work, cracks up into small rock hard pebbles and flakes

also it seems to flow towards drain and bulid up in shower drain and has to be cracked off the inside of the pipe and shop vaced out of the pipe as there is so much of this mineral deposit it can clog the pipe easy as it is chipped off with the big screwdriver

if anyone knows what this is?

how to stop it?

can it clog all the drains in the house eventually?

Sounds like it is hard water build up , if you have well call them and ask them what you can do , maybe you can use a water softner.
