        What causes the high pitched whistling noise in the pipes suddenly? The dwelling is only 3 months old.

          High pressure and sometimes a bad washer.

            I saw this just recently, it was a washer in a toilet ball cock. I was surprised. Turn the suplly off to a toilet and see if you hear it agian.

              Yup I agree I have had the same problem with washers in ballcocks causing this noise – replacing them has fixed it.
