bad odor from tub drain.

There is a bad odor coming from my tub drain (sewage?). There is no clog, and I have used all sorts of drain cleaners but the smell remains. Any thoughts?? If it is the vent (clogged) – how do we fix it??

Is tere a trap in the line, take overflow out and take out stopper, might be full of hair.
