I’m trying to diagnose and alleviate the reason that we’re having the baseboard hot water sound as if it’s a gurgling stream or babbling brook as it enters the pipe everytime the boiler turns on. This isn’t the pinging or occasional banging you get from expansion. In fact, it SEEMS that the water is flowing at a lower than normal volume and the usual pinging is almost non-existant. The pressure gauge is also showing HIGHER than normal pressure by about 8psi. We have heat but I’m not sure if it’s as hot as it was prior to this problem. Would appreciate any educated opinions of the cause and cure to this. Thank you.

Your system has excess air in the system.

Read the Air Purge procedure at: http://www.hydronicnetwork.net
