How do I ad a battery backup to my sump pump to have when there is a power outage. In our area this happens ab couple of times a year and last for up to 2 days

Would be a dam site cheaper and easier to get a hold of a portable power generator and simply plug in the pump when such times happen.
Otherwise you gunna have to have one dam big bank of batteries to power a 240v/110v pump plus an electronic auto charging system as well. Way too expensive – just get a generator.
