        Can the quest piping (poly) be installed directly to a water heater? Should it be copper within 18″?

          I never did use that stuff before but I would say if you use it be at least 24″ from the connection with copper, check you local code.

            NO!
            The brand should be stamped on the pipe. Ring the manufacturer to get his installation instructions. Usually it is 0.9-1m min. Also check local plumbing code.
