I just took a job for a friend of mine and I need to know what everyone thinks of useing a 3×1/1/2 side outlet ninty to go to the shower, from the water closet. I do not have much room where it is, so I kind of have no choice. I also need to know if the shower will still need a vent or if it can just use the stack, as it is only about a foot and a half from where the trap for the new tub will be.

we outlawed them 30 yrs. ago, they have a problem of stopping up at that point.If you do use it make sure you have a CO.in line.
