The cold water that fills my washing machine trickles in, the hot water is fine. The pressure in the rest of the house is fine for both. What could cause this, and how do you fix it?

Try disconnecting the washing machine and testing the flow into a bucket. Most washing machines have some type of filter to protect solenoid (usually inserted in the hose), this may be blocked. If its ok then must be the washing machine.
