I’ve just acquired a used Inglis Portable Dishwasher, which was working fine. Now, I hook it up to the faucet, turn on the water, plug it in…and no water enters the dishwasher. The element heats and the timer turns, but there is no water flow into the dishwasher. When I push the red button, water comes out. Any suggestions? Is the pump broken?

Sounds like it might have a blocked inlet filter of a faulty inlet soleniod coil on the valve.
In any case what RED button are you referring to when the water comes out????
