I have a float that is in the same column – not on an extender bar. If I hold the float down manually, I get enough water to get a good flush. If I don’t hold it down manually, it shuts off too soon and there isn’t enough water to get a good flush.

I don’t see any way to move this float so it will automatically stop at the right level. It is almost to the top of the mechanism.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If it is that kind built all in one called Fluidmaster you have to push on top and twist it around, turn off water.Go to http://www.google.com and put name in search and they will come up and show you.
