I am burying my sump pump discharge hose to my ditch. I live in North Cental Wisconsin and have about 100 feet to get there. I am using 3 inch un-perforated drain tile. How deep should I bury the line? Some people tell me 12 inches is deep enough. Is this sufficient depth? Also, what should the drop per foot be to ensure proper flow.

When I worked up there all the water had to be 5′ deep. I would at least go 36″ or 42″ to be on safe side, check with some local Plumbers are Plumbing insp.
