I have a censible oil fired hot water heater. The hot water has that rotten egg smell. However cold water heated on the stove is not malodorous so it has to be something in the tank. The anode was changed but that did not help. Any ideas?

          Try aluminum anode rod.

Thank you. However we did use an aluminum rod.
