I have an upstairs toilet that has a slow leak. That is to say, water runs into the bowl from the back very slowly then the tank refills every 30 minutes or so. I replaced the assembly that goes through the tank. This piece had a couple of rubber pieces…one for each side, and a black valve. Water is not coming through the black valve right now…where else can it be leakinf from?

Dear Ms.Lisa:
Change the Flapper too. The Flapper is the rubber thingy that fits over the hole of the flush valve.
Also be sure that the refill tube is not protruding to far down the over flow and siponing the tank water down into the bowl.
