The pipes in my home make a banging/knocking noise when several sources of water are used simultaneously (example: flush toilet while outside sprinkler is on). It seems to bang about 3 times and them stops. After the banging the water pressure is reduced significantly for a while. Many times the sprinkler has to be turned off and then back on to get back the water pressure.
