I am having trouble with the anode rod and soft water. The soft water is eating away the anode rod. A.O. Smith has technical bullentin out bullentin #44. Can you give any ideas on what to do? Or what exactly is going on.
        Thanks
        Steve

You need to ask BUNGIE about anode rods! he knows his stuff!
There are different anode rods with different materials used…aluminum, magnesium, and combinations of different materials…each will react or be less reactive with the incoming water.
Bungie told me that you need to find out the suspended solids content of your water, and if its over 600 parts per million than you need to switch your magnesium (black) anode rod to aluminum (blue) anode rod…or something like that!!!
He will answer to your post in time I’m sure and set you/us straight!
          be patient!
