we are planning to renovate our kitchen with new cabinets and appliances. Home depot is doing the cabinets and the plumbing and electrical work needs to be done by a plumbing company. THe plumber has quoted $3800 to $4200 for gas fitting and bringing the electrical and plumbing work to building code. Is that a reasonable rate?
We live in a home which is 60 yrs old. Our sink base has a electrical box and has to be moved.the plumber has not given a written estimate. He said something about moving the plumbing or electrical stuff to the attic.
Please let me know if it is a reasonble rate and what are the things needed in an older home to bring it up to code.

        thank you
