Can the plumbing for a single bathroom sink (originally) be fitted / adapted to accomodate two sinks (remodelling)?null

Depends on where the 2nd sink is going?
Are you talking back to back installations or side by side?
Normally an 11/2 waste line can carry 2 fixture units according to the stinking “standard plumbing code” and a basin is considered 1 fixture unit so you should be in great shape.
