The water supply system in my tub is a 3 knob system made by Price Pfister. One knob each for Hot Water, Cold Water, and the diverter that directs the water flow from the tub faucet to the shower head. Something has failed and I now only get about 1/2 of the water diverted to the shower head with the other 1/2 still flowing out of the tub faucet.

I have replaced all components of the Diverter (including the seat)and this has not solved the problem. Also, there does not appear to be any blockage between the diverter and the shower head as I have blown the lines with an air compressor and feel no “back pressure”.

Any ideas? Could it be a problem with the Hot & Cold controls?

        Thanks,

This problem is usually caused by the little white plastic disk on the divertor vavle of a price pfister.
changing just the seat and washer will not fix the problem.
You have to remove the packing nut of the divertor valve and remove the stem backwards from the valve body and replace the white plastic washer.
          hope that helps.
          Bruce.
