Hello, I have an accumulation of large, greyish-white particles (pebbles) that appear to be originating from
my water heater. When I changed the water hoses on my washer, the hot water connection screen was completely blocked
with this whitish debris. I will drain the heater today. Have you heard of this before?

If the pieces are plastic it is probably from your W/H dip tube (some mfg.s had installed defective tubes a few years ago). If you have hard water it could be lime that is building up in your W/H.
