The VERY BEST Training possible is the United Association’s 5 year (10,000 hour) apprenticeship.
Contact local 1 in Brooklyn and find out if they have any openings.
Their is Mechanic’s institute in Manhattan and Burke trade school.
Alfred E Smith in the Bronx.
If your not willing to really put in the required 10,000 hours your never going to get a decent understanding of WHY and how.
You may want to work for a company to see if it really what you want to do.
