My 7 year old A. O. Smith hot water heater has started leaking from the top. It is seeping from inside at the cold connection. The water leaking is very warm and steam is occasionally seen. Water slowly seeps when the heater is running. There is no leaking at the fitting which can be seen on the outside. Leaking from the top only……no leaking elsewhere. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

My firs thot if there no leaks fromn fitings is replace the heeter.
