I didn’t think this was plumbing—but when I did a search, this was the first site that was listed. My nephew bought an 85 year old home with radiators for heat. As they are about to have a baby, I was concerned with safety. I remember my grandparents having covers built around their radiators with vents on the top. Are those still avaialable — and where would I find them. Are there some safety issues he should know if. Where can we read about it. Thank you very much for your help.

The old radiators are still one of the safest ones around BUT you can have covers made by an local metal shop that make ducts.
