Can anyone please advise me on how I can get my hands on a typical, generic
plumbing schematic for the average Australian home? I have been told
that the pressure on the hot water supply line and the cold water supply
line, in the average Aussie home, is different. As all plumbing
systems, with which I am familiar, are closed loop, the pressure is
balanced on both the cold and hot side. I can’t understand how this is
possible unless there are two separate water supply lines for each
house. Can you steer me in the right direction in order to figure this
      out.

      Kindest Regards,

Pressure limiting valve on the hot water system, BUT not all hot water systems.
