About every week I lose my hot water and need to hit the RESET button which turns it on. When it comes on the water can be very hot. The setting of the hot water is set on low about 110-115. Its happened when there has been no power outages.
I assume the RESET buton controls a relay which controls the voltage to it. What are some of the criteria which would shut down the system requiring depressing the RESET button ? -
You have a thermostat that is stuck on. It is probably the upper one but they are inexpensive so you can replace both. The reset pops out when the tank overheats.
