Does anyone know of where I can purchase an unfinished wooden toilet seat.

An unfinished wooden seat, by its very definition, would be unsanitary, so no manufacturer would sell one on the open market, hoping that the buyer would complete the sealing of the surface. Your only chances are to make one, or contact a manufacturer to see if you can purchase one before it is finished.

Esther,Just buy a finished seat and remove the finish yourself.

If you are in Brisbane, try Paddington hardware. They sell seats with red back spiders and barb wire in them. Maybe they can put you in contact with the maker and he might sell you one

The Barb wire is old hat in Texas as they be used to the cactus out houses BUT red backs that be a new one mates OUCHHHHHHHHHHHHH
