I recently moved into a house that has very low hot water pressure, but the cold water is just fine. I was just wondering what could be some possible causes.

If you have good pressure EXCEPT your hot water supply it sounds like someone failed to do basic plumbing properly.

A lot of unknowing folks who think they are qualified plumbers mix various metals without any consideration to codes or proper piping conditions.

What you should do is have a licensed Master Plumber or Gas fitter check the piping to and away from the heater and see if someone forgot to install a dielectric fitting like an insulated nipple or dielectric union.

While they are at it let them pull the relief valve and possibly change it as it sounds like a possible corrosion problem do to improper installation

          Have a great one
