I had a flexible connecting pipe from the shut-off to the bathroom faucet fail just above the connecting nut.(It did a lot of damage–it was about 8 years old) Does anyone know if the stainless braided flexible pipes are better than the plastic? Is another kind or specific brand of connector pipe superior?

Kerry,toss out the plastic junk and use the braided ss,I use the brand name of NO BURST.
